This hotel is one of the best that I have ever encountered. The views are breathtaking…the staff is great (the owner speaks perfect English, which proved to be invaluable for a business question)…the breakfasts were yummy…location is convenient to all the Valpo action. I’ve traveled a lot, and the Robinson Crusoe Inn ranks as one of the best. Strongly recommend!!! more

We had a large group (12-14 people total) and wanted a place where we could all stay comfortably, yet still have a place where we could gather in the afternoons. We were originally booked at another location, but weren't happy with the communication leading up to our stay. I contacted Jorge (owner/manager) after reading about Robinson Crusoe in a tour... more

We were originally booked at another location, but heard about this hotel and switched and are very glad we did! It was a slower season for Valparaiso (late Fall), but the staff took the opportunity to give us even more personalized attention. Location: Very close to the waterfront (for cruisers), but up on the hill to give an outstanding view... more

My experience at the Robinson Crusoe was first rate from the point of booking the room to the afternoon I left the Inn. Upon contacting the Inn owner, Jorge, to directly to book a room for a 6-night stay, he was responsive to my requests and questions and offered his help in coordinating airport pick up/drop off. Not having visited... more

I had the great fortune to discover the Robinson Crusoe Inn while investigating places to stay in Valpariaso. I was a guest at this amazing Inn for 5 nights. I was on a solo trip to Chile to meet my husband who was traveling on business. I had never traveled to South America before and was unsure of what to... more

We chose to stay at the Robinson Crusoe Inn for two days before embarking on a cruise and we are so glad we did. It has great views and the service and ambience were outstanding. The rooms are small, especially if you have a lot of luggage, but charming and we felt we were staying as a guest in someone's... more

What a great pleasure it was to stay at this beautiful, comfortable hotel on Cerro Bellavista, above one of the most fun and dynamic areas of downtown Valpo. The Robinson Crusoe has a boutique feel to it, is quiet and soothing, with lots of interest for the eye in its appointments, and in its layout it is somewhat reminiscent of... more

We absolutly loved the hotel, we had a hard time leaving the premises. It was exceptionally clean. Very good breakfasts, different every morning. The panoramic view from our room and from the terrasse over Valparaiso Bay was breathtaking. The terrasse was inviting to just read or sip some wine and the location very convenient for the different local attractions like... more

This is the most charming hotel I have ever stayed in. I chose the sky loft room and was amazed by it. The views are unbelievable and the service here is great. When i got to the hotel, I was having issues accessing money and the the owner, George, went so out of his way to help me. He turned... more

The RCI advertises its strengths as based on its quaintness , antique furnishings, city views, and gourmet breakfasts. The reality is much different. The halls and stairways are drab and narrow with a "ho hum" decor. The bedrooms are equally dark and cramped with barely enough room for an average sized bed. The bathrooms are ludicrously smallish and aged with... more

Management response from
HRCINN, Owner

Falsity or “Falsitas”(Latin) best describe this review. Very hard to respond to perversion of truth culminating in damaging and ill intended reviews. Luckily, most if not all the other reviews would disagree with this person’s commentary together with the 100s of satisfied passengers we have had the privilege and honour of hosting for nearly 8 years. I will try to...
