First we stayed at the Arqueologo hostel for few nights, but because there were no guests except us, we have been upgraded to Arguelogo hotel free of charge! Very friendly and knowledgable stuff will make your stay as pleasant as they can. They can speak perfect English, some French and working on German. Thanks to Andrea M. I know more... more
We also looked at (personally) the Monasterio and in many ways Archeologo is BETTER. The rooms are a bit bigger, the canopy bed was awesome, the condition of the place is spectacular. It is close to the square (actually 3 minutes walk from Monasterio). I would highly recommend this place and would die to stay there again. more
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this property, and in Cusco itself. The Hotel Arqueologo arranged for a driver and greeter to meet us at the airport and help to check us in at the front desk. Everyone was as helpful, and friendly as they could be. The front desk arranged a last minute 1 day tour... more
A quick review of Hotel Arqueologo: simply great. The rooms are spacious, interesting, and well kept. The lovely court yards are surrounded by a terrace whereby guests have access to their rooms. The people are very friendly and the service is too notch. They can help you with everything from rapidly addressing small problems with your room to setting up... more
We stayed for 5 nights at a suite in the Arqueologo. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. Its located on a hill just 5 blocks from Plaza de Armas. Our breakfast was included which included a good selection of breads, fruits, eggs etc. The room was very spacious (included a sofa-bed, crib and 2 full size beds). Only... more
We stayed at the Arqueologo four nights during our two-week 10th anniversary trip to Peru and loved the place. The evening of our anniversary they stopped us on our way to the room and gave us both free Pisco Sours and snacks. When we arrived to the room we found a vase of fresh roses! I very much enjoyed breakfast... more
Hotel Arqueologo is a pretty little place that has fallen victim to abysmal management. My husband and I had the worst possible experience here - they are disorganized, rude and have absolutely no concept of customer service. As we used Cuzco as our base for exploring Machu Pichhu and the sacred valley, we were supposed to stay here for 5... more
We stayed at the Arquelogo for 3 nights and thought it was a lovely place. Very convenient location in the San Blas area and very close to the Plaza de Armas, although the walk up the hill to the hotel was tricky when trying to deal with altitude sickness!! Rooms were clean and neat. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only... more
We travelled 5 weeks in S America...this hotel was not worth the money. Clean yes, firm bed yes, attractive courtyard and fireplace...but tiny bathrooms (no tub), noisy street location on our (2) rooms, incredibly slow service during bar happy hour, unprepared for us (advance reservations and prepaid 1 night) although supposed 11am checkin ( we arrived at 3pm, rooms not... more
