We stayed at the Arqueologo four nights during our two-week 10th anniversary trip to Peru and loved the place. The evening of our anniversary they stopped us on our way to the room and gave us both free Pisco Sours and snacks. When we arrived to the room we found a vase of fresh roses! I very much enjoyed breakfast... more

Hotel Arqueologo is a pretty little place that has fallen victim to abysmal management. My husband and I had the worst possible experience here - they are disorganized, rude and have absolutely no concept of customer service. As we used Cuzco as our base for exploring Machu Pichhu and the sacred valley, we were supposed to stay here for 5... more

We stayed at the Arquelogo for 3 nights and thought it was a lovely place. Very convenient location in the San Blas area and very close to the Plaza de Armas, although the walk up the hill to the hotel was tricky when trying to deal with altitude sickness!! Rooms were clean and neat. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only... more

We travelled 5 weeks in S America...this hotel was not worth the money. Clean yes, firm bed yes, attractive courtyard and fireplace...but tiny bathrooms (no tub), noisy street location on our (2) rooms, incredibly slow service during bar happy hour, unprepared for us (advance reservations and prepaid 1 night) although supposed 11am checkin ( we arrived at 3pm, rooms not... more

I would skip this hotel. On my trip to Peru I had accommodation from camping to the Hotel Montesario and everything in between and this hotel was the biggest disappointment. For me this hotel was one only accommodation where I feel I wasted my money and regretted my choice. I had arranged for a late check in. I arrived back... more

Located in a narrow street just two blocks away from the famous Monasterio hotel and four blocks from Plaza de Armas, the Hotel Arqueologo is located close enough to shops and restaurants and far enough to get much of the noise one might find at the Plaza de Armas. The hotel has a nice patio, a very elegant bar with... more

quiet spot just 5 mins from main square. stayed in 3 different rooms coming and going from Cusco and all were very comfortable. no TVs which seemed to be a problem for one American guest. Lovely bar with an open fire. breakfast was a little disappointing - not much choice although there were fresh baguettes which was very welcome for... more

I just returned from staying at this lovely ,quiet hotel for 4 nights, and was very pleased with everything. I felt totally at home, and I loved the colors and warm decoration of the room and the beds and bedding were fantastic. Dennis (one of the guys that works there) was really helpful in giving us suggestions and directions. Breakfast was good..with... more

I had a good experience at this hotel. I had to book something last minute because Rumi Punku was under construction and only let me know when I emailed to confirm. The rooms were rustic, nice, and clean. There is a really nice courtyard right outside of the rooms where you can sit and relax. They also have free &... more

We were picked up at the airport by a hotel cab and then because of a demonstration, we had to take a detour which cost extra that the hotel did not cover. Our room was very nice, one of the three Inca Suites, and the shower was great! During our stay, we actually had two rooms for our group and... more
