The Best Western is right opposite Managua Airport so is a great place for a stop over, Managua isn't really a tourist destination so you're not missing much if you go into town. We found a guy at the airport who did us a better deal than the hotel itself, so we were very happy with the price. The rooms... more

I totally LOVED it here... Stuck in town on Business, this was a refreshing oasis from my life off of the Hotel grounds. It was the most expensive place I stayed, but still cheap by North American standards. The Staff was SO friendly & helpful. Pool & Gardens were beautiful, the beer ice cold, and my room cool dark &... more

I've stayed at the Best Western 6 times in the past year. The bad reviews here are very surprising to me. Any hotel in Nicaragua is going to be different than the ones in the US or in any more developed country. I've had rooms with a few bugs but the last two stays have been relatively bug free. It... more

This hotel was very convinient for us to stay at for our first night in Nicaragua. We landed at night and the hotel is walking distance (across street) from airport. The hotel had an attendant at the airport to greet teh flight. We found our rooms clean, comfortable and bug free (rooms 33 and 35). The rooms were not luxurious,... more

This was the most horrible and most expensive hotel I stayed at in Nicaragua. An army of drunken screaming people checking in and out at ungodly hours for flights using free coupons. The room was infested with bugs. I only picked it because it was close to the airport, next time I'll stay at another hotel and take a taxi.... more

At 2 in the morning a loud LOUD group of stranded people checked in with free vouchers from the airline. They hung out and made noise all night. The hotel is grossly overpriced (if you pay) in Nicaragua and not worth it. Same for the restaurant. When I asked the waiter if the ice cubes were made from purified water... more

First, let me say that this is a beautiful property from the exterior and the lobby and reception areas are very attractive. The hotel is set in a splendid tropical garden. In addition, both pools are large by Central American standards, very nicely maintained and generously surrounded by tiled terraces. The restaurant is also good and the breakfast buffet is... more

My first sight of Nicaragua, other than the airport, was this hotel. The front desk was friendly, even at three in the morning and the gardens and the pool were beautiful. And the person complaining about the bugs and lizards: your in nicaragua!! so get over it. This is a beautiful hotel, i spent my first and last night there... more

We stayed at the Best Western Las Mercedes because American Airlines cancelled our return flight to the US. The hotel is directly across the street from the airport in Managua, so it is most convenient. This is never a hotel that I would have chosen on my own. The lobby area is decent and they do offer free, unlimited internet... more

My family and I stayed 1night at this hotel and it was bad. First, I had to change rooms 3 times because there were bug issues (mosquitos & small lizard) swarming around. By the 4th room I was given, there were more mosquitos there, so they decided to come and spray bug spray all over the room which mind you... more
