Hospitality industry is now booming in Siem Reap and the so-called "Airport Road" is dotted with no fewer than a dozen of hotels, similar in terms of their services, comfort and prices. We enjoyed our stay here. Luxurious lobby, rooms were quite nice, though a just a little bit damp/humid, above average bathrooms. The hotel has a GREAT pool, nice breakfasts with different dishes like noodle soups for the largely Asian-tour group clientele. We were looking for a comfortable hotel from where we could do the typical sightseeing things like Angkor Wat and lake Tonle Sap. From internet searches, this place appeared to be reasonable value ( about USD $60/night ) compared to other 3*+ accomodation at the time we were looking (March 2005). We stayed at the Preah Khan pretty much by accident, as we were transferred there from the Angkor Century when our promised double room and upgrade turned out to be a dingy room in the back annex with three single beds. The Preah Khan was a vast improvement and we were very happy there - the room was nicely decorated... more
