I have stayed at Sofitel Harbin when they opened, and returned in January. I definitely can see the improvement. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It seems they rushed their opening in time to be open for Harbin's Ice Festival, and in so doing failed to properly train their staff... and it showed! We spent two nights.
