We stayed at the Sofitel for 2 weeks and although the hotel is lovely and the bedrooms are great the sevice leaves a lot to be desired. We were given a room with a large double bed (for 3 adults) and then was looked at when I asked for another bed to be put in the room which was on... more

Just returned from a one week stay and it was the first time we weren't sad we had to go home. But first the positive things. If you like snorkeling, the place is awesome. We saw the most beautiful fish! If you start from the pier at the Hyatt resort, you can snorkel all the way to the Sofitel pier... more

Before you read this new review please take time to read my 1st review dated 31st Jan 08. We returned to the Sofitel for two weeks from 23rd Sept to 7th Oct, we decided to return as we had a fantastic time in January, thought i would update my opinion. We stayed at the Sofitel from 23rd Sept to 7th October 2008. The hotel itself is a lovely building and the accomodation is good. The food is generally of poor quality with little variation, the service in the restaurant is also very poor. If good food is a necessary ingredient for your holiday, this is not the hotel for you.... more

Having stayed at five different, 5 star hotels in the Red Sea area over the last 4 years, I can honestly say this was well below the standard of the others. Positives. 1 Rooms. Excellent, comfy, large with plenty of storage pace, good views, balcony. Air con best ever. 2 Food. Good quality, variety not bad. 3 Location. Excellent. On... more

What can I say. Perfect! My partner and I read some of the reviews about the Sofitel and we thought we had made a bad choice. My partner has been to Egypt 6 years in a row but always at Sharm, he actually thought the Sofitel was a much better place. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing... more

Myself and my boyfriend have just returned from a week at the Sofitel Hotel in Taba. We'd read a number of negative reviews about the quality of the food, service and rooms and were a bit dubious before we arrived. We needn't have worried because we had a brilliant time! The room was lovely and nicely furnished, the bathroom was... more

We stayed at the Sofitel from 2nd to 16th September and it was fabulous. About Taba Heights itself. Be prepared. Take a pen at all times. When you land, you have to fill a landing card in. This is handed to man who reads it and sends you to another queue. You hand your passport to a man who stamps... more

1st – 15th September 2008 The Sofitel Taba Heights is situated on the Sinai Peninsula sandwiched between the barren Sinai Mountains and the clear turquoise water of the Red Sea rich with a colourful variety of fish and coral. With views across the Gulf of Aqaba to the coast of Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia it is an isolated retreat... more
