This is a really lovely family gueshouse with spotlessly clean beautiful rooms, great food, lovely views and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They treated our 13yo son like a little brother and we felt quite safe leaving him there one evening while we went into the fort for dinner. Jaisalmer is a great place - one of the highlights of... more
We booked this hotel based on the great reviews on tripadvisor, and all our expectations were fulfilled. The room was great and with simple but very attractive decoration. The building and the restaurant area were quiet, pretty and well mantained, and the staff was very friendly, helping, and, very importantly in India, not pushing at all to purchase any extra.... more
Because we were staying 2 nights over new years eve I had contacted Fifu several months in advance and confirmed my reservation. A couple of months later they contacted me because my reservation had been lost so the room I wanted was gone and only a ground floor room with no view remained. For approximately US$30 a night the room... more
After 10 years I came back to Jaisalmer and was very happy to see, that Fifu is still the same man I've known. Since he began with Camel-Safari much happend. His beautiful hotel is a oasis in India. I recommend this hotel to everybody who is looking for a quiet place to stay with tasty vegetarian food and the most... more
There are places which are good and there are places which really stand out. Fifu is one of them ! Everything at this place is a pleasant experience. We arrived on a cold windy evening and were greeting with a professional and warm welcome. The room was very nice all built in sand stone keeping in with the traditional style,... more
When we arrived in Jaisalmer, we were quickly picked up and transported to the hotel. It's located a little bit out of town in a quiet countryside but still close enough for us to walk to the fort. We were given a double room on the upper floor with a fort view as promised at time of reservation for Rs1450... more
Once you take a left from the main road to Fifu's, you might ask yourself where you would be landing. It feels a bit like you are leaving civilization. Also, Fifu's from the outside does not look that inviting, but wait till you enter: awesome rooms, nice view of the Jaisalmer Fort, great food, wonderful friendly people. Fifu really makes... more
Visit Jaisalmer was an axciting experience but what made it very, very special was the staying at Fifu Guest House, where we found warm hospitality and friendship; drinking a tea on the roof-terrace in front of the Fort in the sparkling light of sunset is something unique. Besides we really enjoyed the two days trip to desert, wonderfully organized by... more
Again, there is a reason this place is #1 on the list. We stayed there 5 days last month. Everything stated by others was so true. Clean, quiet, nice area, nice roof deck, friendly... Don't be put off, easily close enough to walk to the fort. They were exceptionally accomodating for a sick traveling partner, who needed a room for... more
