We sought luxury accommoations near the Ranthambore national Park and were not disappointed. The hotel is located near the small town (so do not expect a truly 'remote' luxury tented safari location), and is close and convenient to the NP gate.We stayed 3 nights on full jungle plan (maels/safaris).This hotel itself cannot be faulted for delivery- the service is truly... more

In a tour of Rajasthan we had the opportunity of visiting the jungle resort at Ranthambore. This hotel was unique to us with luxury tents incorporating every modern facilitiy and sumptious furniture each set in private garden amonst trees. The hotel centre was magical with both inside and al fresco dining around log fires. The swimming pool was heated and... more

My partner and I recently stayed at the Vanyavilas for 5 nights. What can we say? Almost two decades ago, I stayed in the then still new Amandari. That experience redefined my idea of a luxury hotel. In a similar way, my recent stay at Vanyavilas has redefined my idea of service. Vanyavilas, and other Oberoi resorts, draw their personnel... more

The moment you walk through the front gates you know you are somewhere very special and it is an instant calmer! We arrived late at night and were immediately welcomed - the chef had waited up just in case we were hungry - we knew it was going to be special! Within minutes we were in our tent and tea... more

India is exciting, but sometimes you want a little calm in your life.....an escape from the traffic, teaming cities and the toot, toot, toot of the horn. Here at Vanyavillas, you can find a wonderfully serene environment. Be prepared to bow as each member of the staff greets you with their hands in an inverted "v" salute as you walk... more

We have just returned from a 2 week tour of India, and the Oberoi Vanyavilas was the highlight. We would not hesitate to recommend it. The setting is beautiful, the tents opulent, spacious and very comfortable. The grounds lovely, the pool great - but it was the staff who made it quite as good as it was. There are only... more

We really didn't know what to expect but were absolutely enchanted by the Oberoi Vanyavilas. From the moment we arrived the manager Mr. Rathore and his staff made us entirely welcome. From even the approach to our "tent" and throughout the whole grounds every sight and sound was magical. Staff, service levels and quality were outstanding. We stayed for 3... more

We spent only 3 nights here - if I'd known how much we'd love it, we'd have arranged to stay longer. As it was, we were doing a trip around northern India, and only had 3 weeks or so. Everything about it was luxury. The staff/guest ratio plus the attitude of the management and staff were so fantastic that luxury... more

This was the first Oberoi hotel we stayed in on our Tour of India - it was FANTASTIC! While we went during the 'off' season, the end of May - this suited us very well - although very hot (44 degrees), the heat was a very dry heat so it didn't really affect us. That being said, the staff in... more

Ranthambhore is one of the best places in India to spot tigers, the elusive leopard and other wildlife. There is no better staging point than Vanyavilas. The land the resort sits on was sold on the condition that this be an ecologically sound, low impact resort. The "tents" that dot the grounds are more luxurious than many so-called 5-star hotel... more
