This was our third time staying at Puri Saraswati. We stay here because we love the position. Rooms are not flash, basic, no television, basic furniture, a little shabby. We really don't care as the location next to the lotus pond is wonderful. Gardens are lovely and the pool is really welcomed after walking the streets of Ubud. Breakfast is... more

Probably the best location in town. Right on the main street and adjacent to an active temple. The rooms are pleasant but quite basic. The major drawback is the lack of service after breakfast. Coming back during the day either to sit on the verandah or by the small pool, it would be pleasant to be able to order something.... more

Puri Saraswati is right off the main road in Ubud so very centrally located. It forms part of the Ubud Royal Palace property & is right next door to the Lotus Restaurant which provides room service meals & drinks for the guests of the bungalows. We were in the Yudistira Room which has a great Balcony overlooking the Lotus Pond... more

If you want to be in the centre of Ubud, you can't beat this hotel for location. Another advantage is that it is beside the Pura Saraswati, which has performances on some nights, and you can peek in for free. However, that's the end of the benefits. The rooms are dirty. The staff just don't know how to do a... more

A friend and I were in Ubud for some yoga classes, and we wanted to be close to the center of Ubud so that we could easily explore during free time. The location was great! It is next door to the lotus cafe and the royal temple and gardens. My only suggestion is to request a room facing away from... more

The Puri Saraswati Hotel is a great choice. We stayed there for 3 nights at the beginning of our stay in Bali and enjoyed the quiet - a real haven after the buzz of Ubud! The staff are extremely pleasant and it's definitely worth doing an early morning guided walk through the paddy fields with one of them; you get... more

I stayed together with my family at the Puri just before Christmas 06 for a few nights. My wife and I had a bungalow and my two sons shared another. This place is beautiful - the accommodations we stayed in - a Double Deluxe and a Double Superior were small but more than adequate. Bathrooms were new and very clean.... more

This Hotel/Bungalow is so well located on Jalan Raya (the main road in Ubud), near to the markets and next to the lotus pond at Lotus Restaurant (beautiful & serene!). We were traveling in a group of 9, arrived from Seminyak with no prior booking in Ubud. We paid Rp 400,00 (about US40) for a/c deluxe twin room, and Rp... more

Puri Saraswati is ideally centrally located on Jalan Raya, and my teenage son and I stayed there in January. We paid $US60 for an a/c deluxe twin room, daily breakfast and afternoon tea/coffee. (Superior with a/c is $US50). We booked direct with Catur on reservations [----] and found her and all the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The... more

The Puri Saraswati Bungalows, in central Ubud, were a real treat as the bungalows had been recently restored to "temple quality" . Carvings were everywhere. These are located on very old "royal" grounds, and are next to the large Lotus Pool ( and Lotus cafe). Lots of flowers, and shade. Great staff, wonderful breakfasts, and a plunge pool with service... more
