I was in Pamukkale 7 years ago and stayed at another hotel. Imagine my surprise this time around to find that the town appeared tired and run down. (Mehmet explained this as being due to people making only day visits to the area and not staying overnight) But when we came to the Melrose Allgau, it was a freshening sight.... more

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. The LP Guide says that this hotel is owned by a German family, but this is not true - it is owned by a Turkish family, and anyone who stays here will experience true Turkish hospitality. Mehmet, Ummu and their two daughters, were the most amazing hosts. I felt as if I was staying with... more

We wound up staying an extra night because the room, accommodations, and FOOD were excellent. Honestly, we were a little nervous when the bill came at the end of our stay because we kept dining at the hotel, but we were oh-so-pleasantly surprised by what a deal the whole thing was! I wish I knew more people going to Turkey... more

Where does one start! From the minute we arrived we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile at 4am by Mehmet. He took us back to the hotel where our room was already waiting for us which was great as we were really tired. One doesn't often get that in hotels! The room was lovely and clean and had... more

This was a great stay with our two small boys (4 and 7), with no prebooked accommodation during a 2 week trip. Dinner in the house was delicious: our 7 year old loves the lentil soup; we finally found a bit of spice. The gozleme for breakfast was not bettered ANYWHERE else. Dripping clothing from a soaking in the bus,... more

This was one of my best experiences while travelling Turkey! The family that runs this place has managed to create a warm inviting and relaxed atmosphere. You don't feel like a tourist staying in yet another hotel but as though you have a home for a while. The property itself is full of interesting nooks and crannys that appeal to... more

We were in Turkey for approximately three weeks and this was our best bed-and-breakfast. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The bedroom was adequately sized, with a heating system that kept the room at a comfortable temperature. We ate breakfast and supper for both days, and thoroughly enjoyed the home cooking. The host was helpful in... more
