We stayed at the Ukraina in 2004. It was nice enough. It was NOT your typical Western hotel. But they were nice and didnt want to put us too high because I was pregnant and they worried about the altitude too long in the elevator or something like that. I thought it was thoughtful of them to think of me,... more

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was built in such style - real wood doors, beveled glass, wonderful electrical fixtures, etc. It was very impressive. I thought it was run very efficiently - we had no problems. Our room was nice and clean and we had a great view of the White House and the Moscow River. It was... more

Well, do not expect it to be a brand new hotel with an amazing service. Anyway - you can get plenty of them in Moscow and Russians can be one of the most welcoming people in the world... Prepare for something totally different! Hotel Ukraina is an adventure of spending a night in a massive socialist tower, one of so... more

OK, so it was a last minute business trip and Moscow is a busy City. The Ukraina was the only 4-5 star (alledgedly) available. I must admit the weather didnt help, so when we pulled up outside the hotel it honestly looked like the House of Horrors. Some of the hotel staff tried to tell us that they used The... more

I was there last year and only writing now, because I found out about tripadvisor, which has helped us a lot for this year's choice (Riddargatan in Stockholm and Klaus K in Helsinki really great!!!). So I wanted to let you know that hotel Ukraina was really the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed in. When entering in the... more

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel in August 07. It was a very disappointing experience. The building itself is incredible, one of the famous "seven sisters" of the Moscow skyline, and it is in a great central position with easy transport links to the city's main areas of interest. As other reviewers have pointed out, this building has... more

This Hotel has great potential. It is an amazing building in an equally amazing city. I didn't even mind paying such a high rate for such a substandard room, as the hotel room isn't what you visit Moscow for. However, the thing I cannot justify was the lack of customer service. It was apalling from start to finish. The staff... more

Staying in this hotel reminded me of those scary movies where they will give you a million dollars if you can make it through one night. I was in Russia with a tour group with my wife and inlaws. The service was ok. The food at breakfast was terrible and that is being nice. Lunch and dinner were much better.... more

We travelled to Moscow as exhibitors for Prodexpo and chose Ukraina as it was recommended by fair organisers as being close to exhibition fair. We paid 220 euro per night. We arrived carrying heavy bags (wine samples) and the doormen just stared at us as we tried to open massively heavy doors. We were then given an old, dilapidated room... more

Firstly this really is a fantastic building. It is outstanding to look at both inside and outside. As you enter the lobby you have to be taken aback by its vastness and beauty. The security check and metal detector is a bit daunting but you get used to it. The staff is friendly, helpful and has good English. It is... more
