Three of us stayed in the Azimut as part of a tour group. Our rooms were rudimentary, one on the 12th floor (double) and a single on the 15th. It was unusually warm (late August 07) and there were those silent mosquitos coming through open windows (no AC). However, our bites were from bedbugs--two of three beds were infested. The... more

The hotel Azimut is a cold concrete tower with virtually no facilities. We had a ten minute walk from reception to our room down miles of souless corridors. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms freezing. There is only one restaurant where the food was ok but the service dreadful. Breakfast is served on the 18th floor, another ten minute... more

Could not take the full amount for 14 people for 10 nights in one go!!! Totally unnecessary. Business rooms do not look anything like photos of business rooms on website.... more

The former Sovetskaya now renamed Azimut was one of the worst hotel we could stay in. We paid for a higher standard “business room” witch was supposed to be more comfortable. I wonder was a plain room would be like. I agree with the previous comments about this hotel: mosquitoes (the device provided that you plug in with tablets was... more

Our musical tour group recently performed in St. Petersburg and stayed at this hotel. We were disappointed to find long dark hallways, locked exit stairwells, rooms not ready when we arrived (a group of 100) and women of ill-repute in the lobby. The buffet breakfast was tasty and the view from the 18th floor restaurant was nice. I'd recommend a... more
