We booked here over Chinese Labor day holidays. A friend who's married to one of the old KL families suggested we stay here. Ha ha, he was right. This hotel gets it right. From the time they meet you at the airport to the time you leave, they don't set one foot wrong. We had a nice large corner room... more

A great location with the Petronas Twin Towers and the park right outside the hotel. The staff are excellent and the food superb. Breakfasts are a banquet! Drinks are very expensive here but no need to drink here with everything on your doorstep. The hotel will organise taxi's for you but again they are very expensive - best to pick... more

Joint trip with Westin Spa Hotel, Langkawi. We spent 3 nights in the Mandarin Oriental after friends suggested the 'best hotel they'd ever stayed in' and its not hard to see why. Smiling staff on hand at every opportunity to provide you with anything you could possibly want or need. Room views are spectacular either of the city and park... more

We were pleased with service, rooms (de luxe standard). Staff was very attentive except as stated below. Breakfast and food in the hotel suited our taste. We did NOT like the attitude of reception staff i.e. at check-in and check-out. Reason: We arrived at 1.30 am due to late arrival of our train. Receptionist insisted she needed our email address... more

Can't fault this hotel. We were upgraded to a suite. Have stayed in several hotels in KL and this is by far the best. Location next to Twin towers and park can't be beaten. Chinese restaurant superb food if lacking in ambience. Nice pool area. more

I don't get it, what's with all the hype with this Mandarin? I've stayed at many other Mandarin hotels with far better room. Room is like from the 90s, with rattan mixed with wood furnitures from country living magazine in the 90s!!!!!! Bathroom is HUGE, that's the only plus thing in the room. Ok I have to admit, the service... more

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental from 8th to 14th August 2008. We had decided to upgrade to a Club Room with Tower View as the breakfast cost around £20 per person per night. We paid just under £300 for the upgrade and it was well worth it. We had free laundry, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and a beautiful buffet... more
