The Pearl has a good location in central Manila close the U.N. Ave. train station. It has good security, excellent food, a helpful staff, and clean rooms. The only problem is that the hotel occupies floors 9--20 of a large building with only 2 elevators, in which only 1 worked most of my 6 day stay, plus 1 service elevator.... more

the towels are dirty looking, so are the bed linens. i have seen the house keepers using the towels to wipe the counters and toilet bowls. maybe this the reason why. the hallways and elevators has no air conditioning, which is quite uncomfortable. both elevators run simul;taneously, either going up or down, making the waiting time longer. more
