Upon late check in, filthy elevators, very dated hotel which takes advantage of guests in need of Austin downtown location. At $200 a night, (pre-paid non-refundable2 nights) would expect nice clean room instead got one with dated sofa/chair of foam, squeaky sink and shower faucets, weak toilet, heard each ding of the elevator, non-stop traffic noise from the street below,... more

I stayed here for 5 days on a business trip to Austin. It was a good choice; the rooms were spacious and clean; the location was very good, just a short walk to central Austin and 6th street; easy to get to from the airport as well (about 9 miles). Breakfast was included, and was good; though the queues did... more

This property has a great location, just steps away from the hike & bike trail and from the Congress Ave bridge where the famous bat flights occur at sunset. Breakfast was very good, as it is at all Embassy Suites, and the staff were over the top friendly. On the down side, the rooms are a little worn out and... more

I have stayed here twice when traveling with teens to the state academic meets. They are very accommodating and easy to work with. The breakfasts are wonderful and the shuttle to local restaurants is wonderful since parking is so difficult in Austin. My only complaints are that they charge for parking, and I would like their shuttle to go anywhere... more

This Embassy Suites is the standard company offering, 2 rooms, good breakfast spread and evening cocktails. I stayed here for 5 nights on business. I chose this hotel because it was close to the convention center, and all the other hotels were booked. I really like the Embassy brand. THE ROOM: I checked in late. The hotel and lobby/atrium appear... more

I was here during a company trip. It is close to all "important" location (17 minutes from San Marcos Outlet, minutes from Bat Bridge, and bars on Sixth St) The complimentary breakfast is definitely HUGE; however, during my stay, it was not served on time (the brochure said 6:00 AM but when I came down at 6:50 AM, the servers... more

I stayed at the ES in 2000 and thought the hotel was a little dirty way back then. I relunctantly chose it this time because it was the only hotel available at the last minute, and now I can see why. Check-in was smooth enough, but then we were the only ones in line. Upon entering our room, I was... more

I stayed at this Embassy Suites on my last night in Austin - the wonderful Hilton was sold out and I had to move to a different hotel. The location is several blocks (across the bridge) from the Sixth Street downtown area, where most of the other major hotels are located. This is not a quickly walked distance. The hotel... more

I'm no stranger to the Hilton brand; however, I'd never stayed with an Embassy before. Usually, when visiting Austin, I make every effort to stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites downtown. For this particular stay, they were booked and the Embassy was my second choice. But now, I'm having a hard time deciding on which hotel to consider first in... more

I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites, while attending a conference at the Hyatt downtown. The conference hotel was booked, and we were told that the Embassy Suites was closeby. It was! It was just across the street - very close. The hotel was very nice. We stayed in a king suite. The bed was very comfortable! Even the pullout... more
