I stayed two nights in Rafain Centro, and was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in a good neighbourhood, with great public transportation from/to the airport, Itaipu and the falls. The city itself has little to do, but there were a few good restaurants around the hotel. The room was sunny, spacious, clean and well-equipped, mine overlooked the pool. It... more

Great location in the center of town with several restaurants nearby. Looks great from outside, impressive marble-tiled entry and uniformed bellmen. But our room was similar to a 20-year-old budget hotel. Poor plumbing, only a few paper-thin towels, few toiletries; ugly furnishings and carpet; door and windows wouldn't close properly; 20-year-old tube-type TV. However, we did have plenty of room... more

This is a very nice hotel, with service well above the average. The rooms are a bit old-style, but the value for money is very good. The breakfast is fresh and varied, at the same level of some 5 stars in Brasil. You can have a fish based dinner in a nearby restaurant, in front of the hotel, if you... more

As with everyone, we stayed at the Rafain Centro to access the falls. We had 2 nights which is enough to see both sides. We would have liked a bit moretime to visit the bird park and Paraguay, but could not justify another day in our trip. The waterfalls are absolutely breathtaking and well worth visiting. Both sides are worthwhile... more

You go to Iguacu for the falls which are a truely to "be had experience" ! Unless you wish to splash out $300/night for the hotel inside the Iguacu falls park then Foz de Iguacu town is your only option . The town has nothing to offer. The hotel was OK for purpose and price but no more. 2 star... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting the nearby falls. The falls are spectacular but together with the town only warrented the 2 nights. The hotel was fine, clean, very reasonably priced and a good breakfast (nothing really to complain about) Foz itself however is another story, on our 3 wk trip it was... more

Our stay at the Rafain Centro was ideal for our trip to the Falls. It was well priced and had great tours leaving from the hotel daily. We had a great driver call Valdimiro (who works for the hotel)who spoke good english and took us to the Argentina side for BR150 for two people. We felt this was very reasonable... more

Paid US$60/night. Got the best deal on Expedia.com. Tried contacting the hotel directly, they quoted us US$70/night. Stayed two nights. Room was unremarkable, but totally antiquate. Clean. There was a small lanai that overlooked the unremarkable, but totally antiquate pool area. Staff treated us well. Breakfast buffet was included and it was quite bountiful. They have a small business services... more

Only being about 250 yards from the main road to the waterfalls the hotel is well placed enabling you to catch a local bus (every 20/30 mins) to the Iguassu National Park. Whilst our room was a little dated (a few deep browns) it was perfectly fine for our short stay in the area. The room was clean, fresh and... more
