We stayed here for 3 nights. We were a group of 3, with a teenager. They upgraded us free to the Azul room on the 11th floor. To our suprise we had 2 bedrooms with 2 TV's and 3 phones, refrigerator, our own personal small pool, sauna and private ourdoor area with chairs and table. It was very quiet and... more

I have stayed in many tourist hotels in Rio and they often tend to be expensive by Brazilian standards. However, the Astoria really delivers in terms of value for money and quality. It's clean, quiet (not common) and efficiently run. The other reviews here are a fair reflection of what the hotel offers. more

Using their site reservation system, we made a reservation (with a credit card) more than 3 months ahead of time for this hotel. Happy with our experience in the Astoria. Was well looked after by the staff - especially Franklin at reception. Its a well-situated hotel - probably 3 star in standard. We were very happy with the price we paid (140BRL) which was the same price as we paid for a hostel in Ipanema. Yes, I would recommend this hotel. Just be... more

The staff at Astoria Hotel are super helpful and the service is very good. Rio is beautiful and very friendly! We had a awesome week in Wildcabana in the Amazon with Brazilian Safaris. ---- Thanks to our tourguide, Roberto! Brasil is a definite MUST to visit! more
