I was there for just one night, after a sunny, beautiful, but tiring day at Machu Picchu. Location is o.k. Room had an "old fashioned" look, but was really clean and nice. Besides, we were lucky to have a beautiful view from our room, to the Urubamba river (I realize how lucky we were after reading the reviews of some... more

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights in Sept 2008 so we can maximize our time at Machu Picchu. Truthfully, the place is only good for its convenience to Machu Picchu. It is expensive for what you get, but as other reviewers have stated, everything in Aguas Calientes was expensive because everything had to be brought in by... more

After reading many of the reviews about this hotel it's fair to say that this was one hotel we didn't know what to expect. So many mixed opinons. We booked this hotel for one night through an agent, not really wanting to pay what seemed like exorbitant prices for the Sanctuary Lodge or the Sumaq. Was the Hatuchay Towers value... more

Was one of the nicer hotel in Aguas Calientes but was a little walk uphill to meet the bus to take you to Machu Picchu. Our room overlooked a rundown house next to the hotel, UGH! We kept the curtains closed. Breakfast and dinner was included in our room price ( a little on the expensive side), and the food... more

We stayed in this hotel one night and booked the suite junior (room 502). The view from there is great: a mountain and a small river. But you can't open the door or windows, because theres is a lot of bugs, especially in the night. There are only one double bed and a sofa bed. I used the last one,... more

It stinks, it's noisy, the customer service is terrible. The rooms are drab and dingy. I paid the same price for a beautiful 5 star hotel (Libertador) in Cusco. What a difference. It's criminal what they charge for this very lame 3 star hotel. more

For a one-night stay to access Machu Picchu, this hotel is very adequate. They seem to be very short on staff. When we went down to eat breakfast, almost everything was exhausted, and there was only one server to take care of the whole buffet. The food was adequate and warm. The rooms, while not spectacular, were very adequate for... more

Stayed here after a 4 day trek on the Inca Trail. Clean hotel, lifts (Welcome luxury with aching legs!), decent bathroom with bath and shower and a bar with a few PC's for internet access. Yes it's a little souless but lets be honest, Aguas Calientes only exists for the tourism of Macchu so you're not in Sacred Valley/Cusco territory... more

This was an OK hotel - clean and spacious, but nothing fancy. As other folks said, they were very accommodating about storing our luggage after check out. You can simply pile it in the main lobby, or if you insist, you can have it locked in a room, behind the reception desk (we had ours locked). The sound of the... more

Stayed just one night on an excursion to Machu Picchu and the hotel was more than adequate for that purpose. Just 5 minutes walk to the shuttle bus terminal for Machu Picchu (but if you request the bus will stop directly outside the hotel on its return journey), the rail station (for Cusco) and a fairly large market which caters... more
