Stayed here after a 4 day trek on the Inca Trail. Clean hotel, lifts (Welcome luxury with aching legs!), decent bathroom with bath and shower and a bar with a few PC's for internet access. Yes it's a little souless but lets be honest, Aguas Calientes only exists for the tourism of Macchu so you're not in Sacred Valley/Cusco territory... more

This was an OK hotel - clean and spacious, but nothing fancy. As other folks said, they were very accommodating about storing our luggage after check out. You can simply pile it in the main lobby, or if you insist, you can have it locked in a room, behind the reception desk (we had ours locked). The sound of the... more

Stayed just one night on an excursion to Machu Picchu and the hotel was more than adequate for that purpose. Just 5 minutes walk to the shuttle bus terminal for Machu Picchu (but if you request the bus will stop directly outside the hotel on its return journey), the rail station (for Cusco) and a fairly large market which caters... more

When I travel, I want to stay in a place that’s clean, safe and comfortable. My focus tends to be on the location I’m in, not on the lobby set up or the pictures on the hotel wall. With that in mind, the Hatuchay Tower was great. The room we had at the Hatuchay Tower was not fancy, but clean... more

Spent three nights here on an excursion to Machu Picchu, and loved every minute of it. The location is great- across from the river, close to the bus stop for rides up to the site. The restaurant had delicious buffet meals. Some rooms had balconies with views of the river and mountains. There was free internet in the second-floor bar.... more

Choosing a hotel in Aguas Calientes is not an easy task. First, the town is not nice as others in the sacred valley, so, depending of how much spare time you have after visiting Machu Picchu, the quality of your hotel may matter. The Hatuchay is a modern hotel, with very good service, large clean rooms and adequate location. Dinner... more

Hatuchay Tower Hotel was great. We loved the view of the river and the lovely relaxing sound of it at night. The location was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and obliging. The room was very clean and comfortable. The buffet food at night (dinner free) and breakfast was more than sufficient and we enjoyed it. I would definitely... more

Nice hotel by the river w/clean and updated facilities. Try to get a river view room. Food in the dinner buffet is not worth it. Service is splotchy and food is overpriced mediocre fare. Go up a block into town and eat there. Rooms are comfortable, but as others have noted, the bathroom is misbuilt. Be careful. more

WHERE: Hatuchay Tower WHEN: December 07 (between Christmas and New Years). This was a good time to visit Peru, at least weather-wise. The average daily temps were between 60 and 70 F. There were bursts of rain a couple times during the week, but nothing horrible. I don’t know if Machu Picchu has a ‘slow season’, but I don’t think... more

This hotel faces the river and is at the end of the village, although a further hotel or two appear to be being built further along. Our room faced the side alley, and looked into rather squalid habitations across the alley. The room was comfortable, although no heating or cooling. That wasn't a problem for us in September, but might... more
