This may be a perfect hotel. Charming, intimate, comfortable areas to read, a wonderful (and happy) staff, extraordinary attention to detail and comfort--excellent food (a rare thing in Sri Lanka)....a lovely pool....but there is not much in Kandy itself--so, look on your stay here as a charming retreat, and enjoy it for what it is. more

The Kandy House is smaller than we expected and is surrounded by Jungle type greenery, its tranquil and quiet, apart from the frogs at night but a wonderful hide away. Great food and cocktails, and a good selection of wines. more
