“Cheap but Nasty”

Reception staff did not smile, were not helpful, bathroom had an open window bringing in mosquitoes, AC was broken. Accommodation was in a block and away from main reception area which did not cater for tourists and only for locals. Night ambience looked OK as a wedding was on, and vegetarian food was tasty, but served on uncleaned tables. more

It was a pity that we stayed at this hotel Madras Hotel Ashoka in December 2007 as a family of 4. We have stayed at many international hotels before and this was our worst experience. The customer service is non existent and the so called manager had no manners. This should not be called an international hotel. They advertise the... more
