Chau Long is one of that ancient hotels that were very good decades ago but now are nothing more than decadent places. It would be a great choice if it was cheaper, but it is not. The price is too high for what they offer. Only the breakfast is good. more

It has already been 2 months since we made a four weeks tour to Vietnam. Sapa was definitely the best area we have seen, especially because of the great advice we got from the people at the reception. The Chau Long is perfectly located in town and with terrific views; pitty that clouds often hide the mountains. The hotel is nice but needs an update of the facilities.
