My girlfriend and I spent a great week at the Manta Ray hotel. There are few places to stay on Yap - Traders Ridge is probably best for non-divers, but for divers I think the Manta Ray is better, as their dive shop is top-notch. We stayed for 1 week in Mar 06 and were very satisfied with the commitment and performance of all staff of the on-site scuba dive shop. We had extraordinary dives with the manta rays and good reef dive sites. The resort in itself is only average with friendly staff and good food but cleanliness of rooms and lobby not the... more

Stayed at the Manta Ray Hotel for 6 nights in room 214. The newer room was very clean, great oversized walk in shower, comfortable beds, plenty of room. Looked out over bay and the restored ship they use as kitchen dining and bar. The food was ok, staff great. Our dive guide, John, and his assistant Mathius, were great. Quiet... more

My family and I just returned from 9 days in Yap. The Manta Rays were a magnificant sight. Although, 9 days was much of an over-kill.
