We booked this hotel thinking the extra money would be worth it. It was not. The room was comfortable, but the restaurant service was just ok, swimming pool was gone, and the work out facility was moved to 2 small conference rooms next to the smoking lounge. I had higher expectations for an InterContinental property; this did not meet them. more

We had an overnight layover and the hotel worked out perfect for us. Not knowing Johannesburg and not having a lot of time, we booked a room at the Intercontinental. Nice establishment. Stayed here 3 different times over a 25 day period as a stoppin goff point for other destination in south africa. Rooms are very nice and staff helpful. Breakfasts were sumptuous. Dinner in the bar and restaurant were both reasonable and good. Will use this hotel in the future as well. more
