Just returned from a 2 night stay at this property and had a wonderful experience. Our room faced the garden and pool and was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Brillant place, excellent host. In a low crime residential area. Only 30-50 Rand to get a taxi to the beach front. DO NOT stay in any of the main hotels. All the crime is centered aorund the hotels. Even the car hire representative in Durban was robbed outside the Hilton. more

We stayed at 164 in November 2005 for a week on our first visit to South Africa. The guest house proved to be a real gem, with friendly hosts, tasty breakfasts, a nice pool area, and beautifully furnished rooms. It was also amazing value for money. more
