The rooms were nicely decorated and spacious (a lot bigger than most hotel rooms), with air con, and the location was good. Some of the hotels in Margate were "on the spot" by beach + shops and restaurants, but I think the Albatros had the best location amongst the guesthouses, a little uphills with nice view over the ocean. Above average accmmodation for a small guesthouse. The premises are spotlessly clean, and the rooms large - especially Room 2 with a walk in wardrobe. We received a warm welcome from the hosts, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bessie & Andre made us so welcome. The Albatros Guest House in Margate (Eastern Cape) is quite lovely - we stayed in the African Room with sea views - beautiful. Wonderful hosts, food and service. Air con. lots of space - well worth a visit. more
