We stayed at Mandela Rhodes earlier this year and were very impressed with the set up. The rooms were large and well equipped, except for the the lack of a hairdryer! A small thing but irritating. The location was good - very central. Service was excellent too. Would certainly recommend these suites to anyone visiting Cape Town. more

First if all, this is quite an imposing hotel in a very interesting area of Cape Town. On entry, you are aware of a spectacular atrium. There's also a bar on the top floor adjacent to a beautifully designed swimming pool. As we have 2 small children aged 6 and 4 we had initially thought it better to stay somewhere nearer the waterfront but a combination of late booking and a ridiculous policy of insisting on only 3 people sharing a room... more

We stayed here when we arrived in cape town and it was a good place for two tired people to put their feet up. The room was very nice, clean, a good size and well equipped. The service was if not a little slow but still attentive and the location is very good if you want to walk around town.... more
