Stellenbosch is in the heart of the South African winelands, and the hotel is in the heart of Stellenbosch. The neighborhood is charming, full of art shops and restaurants, etc. The hotel is old-- some parts go back 200 years-- but everything is in great condition except for a couple of disagreeable locks. However, the locks were to keep not... more

We only had one night in Stellenbosch and was hoping for a hotel in the middle of it all. This served us well. The Stellenbosch Hotel is located in the Historic Stellenbosch downtown district. Its charming and comfortable. We had a 2 bed/bath apartment with wrap-around balcony on the 2nd floor. It was great to be able to stretch out... more

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a wine tour of the Cape. Hotel is lovely Cape Dutch architecture with thatched roof. Rooms range from small to tiny and bathrooms are small too. It's an 18th C building after all. But everything was very clean; staff was very efficient and accomodating, even opening the breakfast room early on our... more

The room was tiny and the bathroom even smaller - luckily I was staying on my own as having two people in this room would have been very uncomfortable. The aircon leaked streams of water and when I reported this someone arrived half and hour later with a bowl to put under the flow! They said that if this was... more

Great place (although a little pricey). Great location (right in the middle of town, close to shops and restaurants). We had a huge room (much bigger than we needed). Very clean. Breakfast is great and lots of choice (more like a restaurant buffet). Would definately stay again. more

We stayed for one night in the Stellenbosch Hotel. The room was quite small and had a nice view onto the central courtyard. In terms of noise you couldn't hear anything from the adjoining rooms. We ate in the restaurant where there was a range of meats for my boyfriend to try. The hotel is very central and we were... more

We enjoyed the winter weekend special offer which included Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. The classic rooms were spacious and my wife and I particulary enjoyed the extra lengh beds. The food had a tremendous variety and the pork spare ribs were the best I have eaten. We have a 9 month old baby and were not able to travel far... more
