My girlfriend and I met up in Madrid and travelled to BsAs for a couple of weeks holiday. She's from UK and I'm from Australia. We found the location of the hotel to be fantastic and we could easily get around Buenos Aires on foot, although we did take a city tour. We even walked to and from San Telmo... more
This hotel was perfect for our trip. It is small and quaint, and the location couldn't be better for the price. The room was a standard room with TV, private bathroom and mini-fridge. The one interesting thing about the hotel and room was that to save on electricity, your room card activated the power and lights. When you leave, you... more
We stayed at the Kempinski prior to our departure back home after a trip to Mendoza. The location is close to the obelisk & Teatro Colon (closed for renovations). The staff is unbelievably accomodating in terms of going all out to answer questions, make arrangements, and assist guests in general. The Botox-The front lobby has lovely ornate furniture. The lobby... more
An old fahion hotel with old fashion decor and plumbing, spa bath very small . Our front room was very noisy, day and night. Take ear defenders but that won't stop the rumble of the underground. Staff very good, willing and helpful, most speak good English and Italian. Breakfast good. Hotel has free internet access for the first 15mins. after... more
Please, this hotel is at best the same level as a good Holiday Inn! The hotel needed a major renovation and has a somewhat decent location if you dont mind street beggers and the noise of an underground subway. My television did not work and the service bar was broken for two days. We extended our stay in Buenos Aires... more
I booked this hotel via Hotels. I have stayed at other Kempinski hotels in Europe and have found them to be luxury hotels. This hotel HARDLY qualifies in this category. The furnishings are old and look put together, the rooms need repair, beds are like sleeping on a box spring. Their bathroom look pieced together. The breakfast is a joke... more
Hotel is located right in the centre of Buenos Aires near the Obelisk. I found staff to te be freindly and helpful - rooms are adequate - dont expect any great views.- they offer a good breakfast buffet in the morning - can recommend. more
This was my first trip to Argentina and this little hotel beat all my expectations. It was very clean, the staff very friendly, and its location was perfect. It fronts onto a pedestrian-only street and it steps away from the Obelisk, the subway (Lines A, B and C) and the shopping streets of Avenida Florida and Avenida Lavalle. At night... more
Right from the word go we liked this hotel. The Kempinski has character: the decor's a bit over the top in the foyer and the staff have great personalities as well as great English. Our room wasn't one of the best they have to offer I gather, but it was clean and elegant, with aircon, lovely sheets / towels and,... more
