Great location (in front of Recoleta Church, near to several restaurants, cafes and bars), good room (old, but clean and large), average breakfast. We would return there ! more

I stayed at the Etoile Hotel last week and what a dissapointment it was. I stayed in one of the "remodeled" rooms, I don't want to even think how the older rooms are like. Even though the room was supposed to be remodeled, the bathrooms have not been touched since the 70's. The tile, bathtub and toiletry are very old... more

If run correctly, the Etoile would have the opportunity to be one of the best hotels in Buenos Aires. Unfortunatley, the place is like staying in the U.S. version of Motel 6. Rooms: Stayed in one level above standard; the room was large, including a separate area for the bed, bath and lounge area. Not sure what died on the... more

First I will say that the rooms are huge - maybe 900 sq feet, divided into 3 sections - the problem was that the rooms were shabby and with very little furniture, making them seem very strange. Also, I booked a queen bed; what they tried to pass off as a queen was really a double bed - way too... more

The best attribute of the hotel I would say is the location. In the heart of Recoleta neighborhood with great views and close to many bars, restaurant and shops. Recoleta is a nice part of town, mainly residential. From ths location is easy to catch a cab to other city attractions- The breakfast buffet is very complete- eggs/pancakes/fruit/cold cuts/cheeses, specially... more

This hotel is located right in the middle of everything: bars, restaurants, night clubs, shopping and right across the street from the world-famous Recoleta Cemetery. The rooms are good size, staff are very helpful and knowledgeble, the rooftop pool complements the view. However, plumbing and appliances show their age, although everything functions. I would stay there again. more

The location is fantastic, right next to restaurants, close taxi stop, safe location. The hotel is a different story. Some of the front desk people are challenging, others are fantastic. I had selected an executive deluxe suite facing the front. The supposedly recently renovated room had a dingy run down feeling, carpet was dirty, bathroom old and unappealing. After complaining... more

The Etoile is in a perfect location, in the center of the elegant Recoletta, near fanstastic, elegant restaurants and boutiques. While it's not brand-spankin' new, it's very clean and the rooms have all the amenities. It's not the Hilton and that's what we loved about it. The restaurant serves a beautiful buffet breakfast with excellent coffee/special breakfasts service. The front... more

We were staying 6 nights in this hotel in 2004, but even after couple of years I do cherish our time there. The place is very good if you want to enjoy the city, its neighborhoods and attractions. Room's size was decent, food was OK, but the view of River Plate was breathtaking more
