I stayed at the Etoile Hotel last week and what a dissapointment it was. I stayed in one of the "remodeled" rooms, I don't want to even think how the older rooms are like. If run correctly, the Etoile would have the opportunity to be one of the best hotels in Buenos Aires. Unfortunatley, the place is like staying in the U.S. version of Motel 6. The best attribute of the hotel I would say is the location. In the heart of Recoleta neighborhood with great views and close to many bars, restaurant and shops. This hotel is located right in the middle of everything: bars, restaurants, night clubs, shopping and right across the street from the world-famous Recoleta Cemetery. The rooms are good size, staff are very helpful and knowledgeble, the rooftop pool complements the view. However, plumbing and appliances show their age, although everything functions. The Etoile is in a perfect location, in the center of the elegant Recoletta, near fanstastic, elegant restaurants and boutiques.
