My Wife and I stayed with Maria and Sebastian the third week of April. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. The Hosteria Tierra de Leyendas is a class act from beginning to end. The proprietors, both trained in the the hospitality industry, make you feel like you are the only guest at the property.. Our room... more

Tierra de Leyendas is unique. Located a few miles outside of Ushuaia you get a better feel for the amazing surroundings you are in. Laden with history, Ushuaia is the gateway to Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego. From the hotel you have a wonderful view of the Beagle Channel and surrounding mountains. With only a few rooms the hotel feels more... more

Just returned from a two-week trip to Argentina and must say that our stay in Ushuaia was enhanced significantly due to the comfortable and lovely lodgings at Tierra de Leyendas. The accomodations were charming, the food was excellent and the owners more than generous. Knowing how wild the weather can be in this part of the world, Tierra de Leyendas... more

Me and my partner are huge fans of this website and always check the hotels or B&B's on tripadvisor before we book. Since Tierra de Leyendas was rewarded for Best Hidden Gem of South America our expectations were high! We booked a deluxe room (with jacuzzi) to be sure to have a room with view towards the Beagle Channel. We... more

We are very fond of hearing guest suggestions and comments. Since we opened our Hotel we have been adding new services and changing as many details as possible, regarding all our guest suggestions. But there are some facts that can not be change. It is a fact that we are away from the main street. It is a fact that...

This is a wonderful place to stay in Ushuaia. It is a short taxi ride from the center of Ushuaia. The owners are so friendly and greated me by name as I entered. We were offered tea and given a place to relax and check e-mail, etc as we waited for our room (we were there early). The place is... more

This was a fine little hotel. We stayed in many places over a month's time in Argentina and Chile and this was a good choice. The hotel is a little out of town so it's a short cab ride into everything ( $5 US). The owner is the chef and dinner was excellent. Even breakfast was very good, which is a... more

Due to late bookings and high occupancy, we spent our first two nights in Ushuaia in early February/08 at Los Cauquenes and the second two nights at Tierra de Leyendas. The former is a more substantial property, has an exercise room and a nice dining room, but Tierra de Leyendas has it beat for charm, warmth and value. If we... more

Staff all speak english & go out of their way to help you find your way around, help you with bookings etc. Tierra de Leyendas is not in centre of town, but only a short cab ride away. They also offer free pick up... more

We stayed at Tierra de Leyendas for two nights prior to a trip to Antarctica. We'd booked it on the strength of the reviews on Tripadvisor, and we weren't disappointed. The owners, Sebastian and Maria, are hands on, and are genuinely nice people who are concerned that their guests have a good experience. Sebastian is also the chef, and we... more

Fantastic in every way. Superb friendly helpful staff - made us feel so welcome and special on arrival. Rooms was beautifully furnished, lovely modern bathroom with great shower, and best of all panoramic views over the Beagle Channel. Seb (Chef & Owner) provided some of the best food we found in Argentina. Definitely worth eating at the hotel. Wish we... more
