The hotel is actually in a blink-and-you-miss-it town called Valle, not Williams (though it's associated with the latter). Valle is actually much closer to the canyon than Williams. At first, we were hesitant to choose anything in the middle of nowhere that wasn't a chain hotel. After 12 hours backing and 5 hours driving we came across Grand Canyon Inn. We checked into the room late at night, within an hour I got up to use the bathroom and discovered there was RAW sewage coming up from the toilet and it would not flush. Loved the clean,spacious and reasonably priced rooms. One thing I did not like was this creepy Old Navajo guy who I think worked there. He was talking to some guy who he refferd to as "Little Willy" in a terrible accent. Other than than it was a great place to stay. more
