We stayed at this Posada on and off for two weeks in Merida in between our tours. The rooms were small but very tasteful and well-kept, with a minibar and a safe for free. Have just stayed at Posada La Montana for two nights in June 07. It had been recommended, and is recommended in guide books. It is cheap, cheerful, basic; the walkway inside is bright with plants, but the rooms are tiny. Just as well I hadn't the proverbial cat. I stayed here for three nights in November of 2006 and it was great. The rooms are small and simple but at approx $25 (US) a night it was great. It had a TV in the room, a very sturdy cement safe built in to the closet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They are very small rooms, but... more
