From all appearances this looked like a nice place to stay. I did immediately notice the road noice while checking in, but didn't hear it once inside my room. The grounds are well kept and the room was clean, but both my parent's and my room had a pungent odor in them. The front desk said they had just remoeled... more

We stayed at Crystal Terrace on Sun, May 25 and paid only $118 per night. We had just paid about that same price for much lesser motels in Solvang and San Simeon and weren't expecting much - especially in an expensive town like Carmel. We were very pleasantly surprised!! For that price (and in general), everything was excellent! The lobby... more

Have you ever paid $200 a night for a B&B and gotten Wonder Bread for breakfast? That's what you get here. Horrible breakfast. There's a nice garden but four of the rooms are right next to Carpetnter Road which gets a lot of traffic (it connects to US 1) and a lot of noise all night. The woman that runs... more

Overall, this B&B was just OK. After reading the terrific reviews, I REALLY wanted to be impressed, but my husband and I found the place just OK. I didn't think it was any more romantic or charming than a number of the other B&Bs, which are located downtown. Nor did I think it was that superb of a deal. The... more

When planning for a romantic getaway, I was fortunate to have this place recommended to me by a colleague. Charmingly situated in Carmel, this hotel is the perfect blend of quaintness and modern luxury. I adored the Bed-and-Breakfast style decor and feel of the Crystal Terrace, but was glad to have the peace and privacy of a hotel. I was... more

It is a perfect hidden secret! A nice walk down to downtown Carmel where all the shopping goes, but the walk back is slightly uphill so carrying objects will be difficult. (lesson learned) The Hotel has a very warm and cozy feel to it almost like a bed and breakfast with upgraded ammenities and a quite location. I'm not sure... more

This motel is a great place to rejuvinate and relax. Whether it is for a vacation or a place to hide away from everyday activites, the Crystal Terrace Inn is the sanctuary. The motel is very refreshing, meeting everyday needs as It was recently renovated with new flat screen TVs, carpet, and furniture. There is free wireless internet access in... more

DON’T STAY HERE!!! This was the worst B&B experience we’ve ever had, and we’ve been to many wonderful and different Bed & Breakfast establishments over the years. This place completely messed up our reservation, for one thing…Even though we called to confirm it twice, the last time being a week before we arrived. When we did arrive, we discovered that... more

We just spent three nights at the Crystall Terrace and we enjoyed our stay very much. When we arrived there, we were gratefully upgraded to a very nice room, away from the street noise. The room was big, had an own fireplace and was very clean. You might argue about the decor but we liked it there. Breakfast was good... more

My first trip to California and finding a gem like the Crystal Terrace Inn was exciting. Special thanks goes to the very helpful and pleasant Rosie, but also the staff, who recommended the best restaurant I had ever eaten in. Our cottage room was delightful, and the courtyard beautiful. Two nights was not enough here and I plan to return... more
