We stayed at the Marriott for five nights. Our room was clean, quiet and had a nice view of the Coronado bridge. The location is perfect. You can walk to the ferry landing where there are shops and restaurants in just 5 minutes. You can use the hotel ferry to travel to the downtown Marriott and then explore the Gaslamp... more

We spent 4 nights at this hotel. Other than the "June Gloom" that covered Coronado for the duration of our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived around 9 a.m. and were given a room. We had a great stay at this hotel. Room had great furnishings (new furniture, flat screen TV, granite countertops). We had a bay view, primarily of the bay bridge. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Bikes were available to rent and tennis and basketball courts were also on-site. Nice pools and poolside bar. I've stayed in a lot of Marriotts and this hotel is not worth the price. We had a bay view room, but the view was of a old rusty naval ship. Any city views were covered by tall palm trees on the property. The hotel is very old and does not have a resort feeling as the name would suggest.... more

I stayed at this hotel whilst attending a conference in May 2008. The area is lovely, but is a $20 taxi drive away from the conference centre.
