I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights with my wife during our honeymoon trip. We saw a lot of negative comments from the tripadviser. Thus, we requested a quiet room when we check in. Everything is good in the hotel room except for the old and dated bathroom. Overall, the room is clean and tidy. Our room was not... more

The Biltmore is an elegant, beautifully restored old-time hotel. Service was excellent throughout from the valets, to bell captain, front desk, room service ... everyone was accomodating and eager to please. The gorgeous detailing on the ceilings, photos from Academy Awards in years past on the History wall, even the beautiful indoor pool all made my stay a special one.... more

I recently stayed at the Biltmore with family members for a week and I was disappointed. I booked the reservation 3 months in advance. When we got to the hotel we had to wait several hours before our room was ready. The lobby area is beautiful, but the rooms are another story. The inside of the bathtub was chipped. There... more

We stayed for 6 nights for around £50 per night via 0800 hotels.co.uk. This proved excellent value. As mentioned in other reviews the lobby is absolutely beautiful. It has a real sense of 'Hollywood history' as so many films have been shot there and in the adjoining banqueting rooms. In fact whilst we were there, there was a film shoot... more

Located in Down Town Los Angeles, I found the pricing to be similar to that of much lesser hotels in West Hollywood so value for money was amazing!!! Their standard rooms are massive, clean and quietly elegant! The lobby and all common areas remind one of what you might imagine a Grande Hotel in the old European fashion to be... more

I stayed at the Millenium Biltmore in Los Angeles for 7 days this past week. I enjoyed my stay in Los Angeles, but the hotel had some problems. First off, when we checked in they lied to us when they told us that they did not have any rooms available because the people don't check out until 2 pm. That... more

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay here at the Biltmore. I would like to take a moment to explain some of the problems you encoutered. The misunderstanding regarding your check-in experience was not due to employee inexperience or hotel deceit in any way - we of course would never take advantage of our guests! It sounds like your...

The location of this hotel is just perfect. The reception area is fantastic and the staff very friendly. You just feel that this hotel has a long lasting tradition and a lot of history. But that´s as well the big problem: they did not upgrade the room facilities to todays traveler´s expectation. The rooms are pretty old, the bath very... more

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. I am glad to hear you were pleased with our service staff and the hotel's location, which is definitely an asset for business as well as leisure travelers, considering downtown's very central location. I am sorry to hear, however, that you felt our rooms were not up...

Wow, talk about hospitality… during my husband’s R&R from Iraq, we decided to take a tour of the California Coast. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, we had no idea of where to go and what to see. We decided to leave our fate in the hands of the concierge, James Russel. Mr. Russel not only gave us great recommendations and... more

A $40 a night for parking is outragous! They charge for internet access! I was very disappointed not only by these charges, but also for what I consider as being taken advantage of. It is unfair to charge people unreasonable fees when they don't have an other alternative other than never to go back again. more

Thank you for your comments. I ask our guests and readers to please understand that almost without exception, ALL luxury hotels charge for internet access and parking. Parking fees are not arbitrary but rather based on the rates charged by other downtown hotels, as well as our own overhead costs to contract with an outside parking company. Los Angeles is...

We arrived (by train, so out of our control) at 9 am, in jeans and floppy hats, with hiking poles sticking out of our rucksacks. The front desk people were friendly, courteous, and let us check into our room immediately. The hotel's public areas are, of course, stunning, but I had read some negative comments about the rooms. So we... more
