My wife and I stayed at the Fairfield Palm Desert in early August 07, booking through Marriott Rewards on the "$50 Bonus Bucks" coupon promotion. The rate was reasonable, and the eventual $50 payback sounded like a good deal. This hotel is very well kept and looks new and neat. The heated pool was great and the continental breakfast had pankakes like many hotels in the Marriott chain. It's close to many stores in a relatively upscale area. Reasonably priced, I would stay there again. more

If you are looking for budget, here is place you want, for $89 (with AAA) for room + breakfast + pool If you like little luxurious, don't try. It's just like a upgrade motel. And I get a room with mountain view, but very noise by highway traffic. more
