The location is not close to downtown Palm Springs, expect to drive. It is not really a "bed and breakfast" - the breakfast you get is commercially-packaged danishes, no frills at all. My king bed was two twins put together - very uncomfortable. Bathroom was dirty and water pressure was awful. Hosts were unfriendly. Bottom line: you do not get... more

Me and my girlfriend like to get away to palm springs several times a year and have stayed at several hotels and b&b's in the area. This was the first time we've had a problem. I booked the larger room 17 over a month in advance and called two days prior to confirm the reservation. When we arrived we were... more

Me and my husband just returned from a three night stay at the El Rancho lodge. We were a little unsure of what to expect from a small motel but we couldn't have been happier. We stayed in room #4 which had a full kitchen complete with pots, pans ect. The bathroom did not have a tub, but we only... more

This was our second stay in 4 months, 2 weeks at a time. We have been coming here for 25 years, 4 different owners but these are the best. It's old but new and we always enjoy the pool and hot tub and the nice people around the pool, also very peaceful at night, old Palm Springs is still the... more

I like to stay in unique lodgings whenever I can, and my husband just loves the breakfasts at B&B's. I found El Rancho on the internet and the reviews were good. I liked this motel and it definitely reminded me of long ago family vacations at motor court hotels. As per reviews, the new owners have lovingly restored El Rancho,... more

I recently spent a weekend with some friends at El Rancho Lodge located just outside of Palm Springs on E. Palm Canyon Drive. Arriving on Friday night, the darkness concealed our surroundings. The next morning I was able to see the hotel in daylight. The courtyard complete with decorative tile and indigenous plants charmed me, but more stunning was the... more

The El Rancho Lodge will forever take up the best memories with respect to our honeymoon roundtrip in the western U.S.! After having been to Miami, Las Vegas and touring Utah and Arizona, we were ready for some quality relaxation time. Palm Springs being the next stop, we decided to go for a quaint, relaxed accommodation instead of a larger... more

We were not entirely impressed with our El Rancho Lodge experience. Although our room was average, our "king-size" bed was actually two smaller mattresses pushed together. This was especially problematic because the "crack" between the two mattresses was incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on - really put the damper on the romance!! Our bathroom was also really unacceptable with almost no... more

El Rancho Lodge is to us the gem of Palm Springs, and the true oasis of this desert city. Sandy & Robert are the consummate hosts of this inviting hideaway in the city, offering a respite from the toils of travelling. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and even though we had a month and a half, now that we... more

We (2 adults, 2 kids aged 7 and 4) had booked to stay at the El Rancho Lodge for 3 nights but we liked it so much we stayed an extra night. The rooms were great. We had two rooms with an adjoining door. They were large, clean and the beds were huge and comfortable. Spent most of our time... more
