What a CRAP hole. At first glance the place is beautiful. It is what you would expect from a Hilton hotel. Once you walk up to the front desk it all down hill. Very bad service. Price for one night around $200. It is not a bad price but it is a bad price for the service. Maybe it because... more

I had a family function in the San Gabriel area, so I stayed in this Hilton in May 2008. The hotel itself is above average in atmosphere, being decorated in a slightly Las Vegas-like, sunny-side up type of atmosphere. The bed is comfy with a down comforter and nice linen cover. The bathroom countertop has black marble while the shower/tube... more

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We chose this hotel because of the surroundings. Plenty of restaurant and good food. We are asian so it's good to have Asian restaurant nearby so we don't have to walk far in LA. The hotel was good so far although there wasn't enough bellmen and valet attendees so we had too... more

We booked two rooms for March 20-23, 2008, for our family of four and my parents. Check-in was smooth and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. The pool area in the courtyard was good for an afternoon swim. We didn't dine at the hotel as there are so many options within easy walking distance (across the street, around the backside... more

The hotel itself is new and very nice. The rooms are large with a fridge. If you want to lay in the sun by the pool - this hotel is not for you. The pool is located in the middle of the property. The hotel surrounds it. When I was there the first part of March, the sun hit the... more

I had work in Pasadena, but the Hilton there was sold-out, so I spent a few nights at this hotel. The hotel itself was fine. It has kind of a McMansion feel to the lobby ("nice" but in a somewhat tacky kind of way). I never had any problem with parking (which was only $5) and my 5th floor room... more

Avoid this hotel at all cost. The staff were simply rude and unfriendly. They were reluctant to talk, to answer any questions. Don't ask them anything because you won't get any decent answers. Very busy noisy street side rooms on the street side, and when we switched to courtyard side, ugly view. This hotel is owned by the Chinese. They... more

The San Gabriel Hilton was at a good location for our trip as it was a short drive away from where we were visiting and doing business. It has a nice breakfast brunch serving both Chinese and American items and is quite good. It is also a short walk to many asian stores and restaurants so its nice from that... more

I stayed at the SG Hilton for E3--a video gamer's conference-about two years ago and the hotel was pretty much new at that point. The conference rendered downtown LA impossible to book and surrounding locales hard to get to. But, me and my girlfriend lucked up on this gem through the grace of God! I have seen some disparaging reviews... more

We stayed one night on New Year's eve as this was the closest hotel that was available last minute near Pasadena for the Rose Parade. We were able to use our Hilton points for a free stay and as a Hilton Honors Gold we could upgrade for a free buffet breakfast for $5/pp. We did not know what to expect... more
