The San Rafael area has a lot of expensive hotel options so the Colonial Inn really stands out as a good budget option. My room was clean, the bed was pretty comfortable and I was able to get good wi-fi signal. At under $90.00, that is pretty hard to beat in the area. more

Location - 20 minutes walk from the City Center of San Rafael. This has a few restaurants that are pretty nice. Our rooms were spotless. The room we had in June '06 had a small bathroom. The room we had in July '06 had a larger bathroom. Front desk people were very courteous. This motel is located in a quiet neighborhood, very close to the Farmer's Market. We will definitely stay there again during future visits to San Rafael. more
