I spent two nights here for a company conference, and overall was very impressed with the place. The location is in the Santa Cruz mountains, and while not really near the beach, feels secluded and is surrounded by plenty of hiking trails. The hotel rooms are spread out in numerous buildings across the property. The buildings look older, but the... more

I left some items behind at the hotel. When I called a few hours after I left, they told me not to worry, that they are sure they will be recovered. I was very disappointed with the management when I finally realized after weeks that nothing would be returned. Nothing was of large value in price. When I did call again... more

Every two years we have a family reunion numbering from 30-60 people. We've done this for the last 20 years and except for the first one, they've all been in California as most of the oldest generation resided there. The Chaminade is almost a small campus type setting with a number of two story buildings with guest rooms, the main... more

I stayed here over the weekend for a work related event and thought the modern contemporary vibe of the room was excellent. The bed was ultra soft, and I loved the raised bathroom sink. It reminded me of a page out of a design book. The food's really good too. We had a lunch buffet, and dinner outside. The bartender... more

We stayed here over a long weekend for a conference and were very pleased with this hotel. We ate like kings; while two of the meals were for the conference, the other meals were with the rest of the guests. The food was amazing, fresh and delicious and I wanted to take the chefs home with me. The rooms are... more

I spend every birthday at Chaminade. It is truly a remarkable resort. Although I live just five minutes away, I feel a world away while staying there. The spa is absolutely exceptional, adult only, but I believe the exercise/rec room is available for kids, and the pool is as well. But if you are looking for the ultimate massage and... more

Our family of four went over spring break to the Chaminade for 3 days. We had a very rainy couple of days in northern california and it was nice to be in Santa Cruz with some nice weather. I found the chaminade in the AAA tour book. I was impressed with the great service we received. There is a nature... more

Chaminade is a study in contrasts and inconsistencies. While it had one of the singularly most luxurious beds I've ever slept in (and we're big fans of trying out B&B's so this is a big deal), it also had broken air conditioning and single-ply toilet paper. Some quick bullet points of our stay at Chaminade: + spacious rooms + Aveda... more

After all it was a very very good place to relax after a 25 round tour (visiting 7 States) by car. The staff really was very nice and helpfull. We really enjoyed our stay! It is a nice base for a couple of days. It was the most expensive hotel in our trip (mostly BW like, for $90-120), 4 nights... more

Our family of five stayed for three nights to explore the Santa Cruz area. The room was average the bathroon below average. The wetbar area had an old leaky refrigerator with cracked drawers. It seemed like everything was an extra charge- including local calls. The room was 350.00 dollars a night and I expected more for my money. more
