Staying here over the weekend to attend a weekend course in clock repair at the nearby downtown Odd Fellows Lodge was the best decision. It's centrally convenient to downtown San Paula, which was in full swing displaying overhead banners for 'Spooky Paula' ghost walk and Faulkner Farms pumpkin patch for Halloween in the historic, clean and friendly Main Street. This... more

We booked our room on the Glen Tavern website and had to later call to add to our reservation, due to having to bring my chihuahua with us. There was a small fee of 10 dollars for the pooch and we had to make a room change, which was fine. Once we arrived we found out that we had been... more

I went to Santa Paula for a class and after staying for two nights at another local motel (which turned out to be sub-par), I checked into the Glen Tavern Inn and proceeded to stay for three nights. Wow, what a difference! The whole place is clean, neat, and overall a wonderful experience. My room was simple & small because... more

It was my girlfriends birthday yesterday and I wanted to surprise her with something a little different. We had dinner in West L.A. then took the 50 min drive out to Santa Paula. Dinner went longer then we expected and I was a little worried that checking in close to midnight would be a problem for a small business. To... more

My girlfriend and I sometimes like to seek out off the beaten track places (sort of Huwel Houser kind of stuff) so we tried this historic hotel in a smallish town a few miles inland from the 101 coastal highway about halfway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. We found it on AAA. The Glen Tavern Inn is a well... more

The hotel manager is very bad. He would not even talk with us to discuss why he changed our rooms. I believe he had local friend whom wanted these rooms. We booked the suite rooms and to our surprise on the four day when we were at lunch and he moved our luggage and transfer us from a suite to a... more

The wife and I booked two nights at this hotel. Our first night there was the worst. The room the gave us was over the kitchen that serves the tavern. Doors were slamming and pots and pans banging until about 2AM. Needless to say we go no sleep that night. On the second night, we had them move us to... more

For our latest weekend getaway, my boyfriend and I decided on Santa Paula & The Glen Tavern Inn. I was delighted with the look & ambience of the hotel. The lobby captures the feel of the hotel's early days. Our standard room was a bit on the small side, if you're in the mood for cuddling its great. The room... more

My husband & I just returned from Santa Paula. We stayed two nights at the Glen Tavern Inn, as we heard it had been refurbished. We found it comfortable, clean and very interesting. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room rates were reasonable. We would stay there again. more

Whatever you do...Don't stay in Room 307!!!!!!! Horrifying experience, I will never be the same again. I question all previous reviews. Do a lot of research before daring to stay in this house of mystery. I will never attempt to stay here again, I'm frightened just thinking about it!! more
