My first post on Trip Advisor... I'm a snobby traveler, I'll admit. I like the best of the best and when I (finally) take time for some sweet relaxation, I expect it to be perfect -- and I'm willing to pay for it. Well, today we decided on a last minute trip to Sonoma/Napa Valley over the weekend and at... more

We recently stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. Most of the rooms are in cottages with four guest rooms. The rooms are very spacious with large bathrooms with large walk in showers. The grounds are beautiful with tons of gardens, artwork and sitting areas. They have a very nice pool, an excellent spa ( I had a... more

We went to Sonoma for the first time in August for my 40th birthday. It was hard to find a place in the area that would accept a reservation for just one night. We picked the Macarthur Place and were pleased with our choice. Our room was nice, not luxurious and on the first floor near the library and restaurant.... more

We didn't have the chance to stay overnight since we had a busy weekend. But we live only an hour away, so we decided to book the Wine Country Romance Spa Package which included a scrub, massage, lunch and gift. Wow! When we arrived, the grounds were beautiful. The landscaping was nice and perfectly kept. The white buildings were clean... more

My husband & I recently stayed at MacArthurs Place and had a wonderful time. The Front Desk Manager, Bunky, was delightful. She was very helpful with fun activities to do during our stay. We kicked off the weekend by starting with a couples massage which was done by Cynthia & Gabrielle. These women did a magnificent job. We were both... more

I took my Mom to Sonoma for her 60th birthday, and we had the most wonderful stay at MacArthur Place. The rooms are quite spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. There is a lovely rain shower, and comfy robes to lounge around in while planning your wine excursions. The front desk was incredibly helpful and made several dinner reservations... more

MacArthur Place is lovely. The original inn began with accomodations in the Manor House. Now the property has several buildings, all maintained beautifully. The grounds are amazing, with attractive landscaping and lush gardens complete with whimsical metal sculptures and water features. We were told that they offer a tour of the grounds that will discuss the large variety of plants... more

We decided to stay here during the first leg of our honeymoon - while we explored Sonoma. The location in proximity to the Sonoma wineries is fantastic. The accomodations were rustic reminiscent with a modern atmosphere. The bed was so comfy; and the bathroom was equipped with every toiletry one might need - cotton balls, q-tips, eye makeup remover, etc.... more

Just got back from San Fran/Napa/Sonoma. After staying at four different hotels, I'd have to say that MacArthur Place was the highlight of the trip. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the staff was kind enough to send a bottle of champagne and some chocolates to our room. Our teenage daughter was with us on the trip and... more
