Our family stayed at the Sunnyside for a wedding this spring. The staff at the hotel was very nice and accommodating and helped arrange for babysitting services. The location is gorgeous which made for a gorgeous wedding, too. We want to return again in the summer time for drinks on the deck, a boat ride on the lake and nearby... more

The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We had room 40. It was a little noisy, but we only paid $100. The large stone fireplace was wonderful because it was cold. This was a large room with a king bed and queen sofabed. It is a very quaint hotel. Not a lot of frills but was so cozy for... more

We enjoyed our dinner and accomodations at Sunnyside during our spring ski trip this year. Our room was in the original lodge part of the building, with a private balcony and gorgeous view of the Sunnyside docks and Lake Tahoe. We were very comfortable in our room - nicely appointed, with a super comfy bed, better than many of the... more

My fiance and I stayed her for two nights mid-week as part of a stay and ski package ($259 per night). We had a room on the second floor that was at the end of the rooms that had a view. It was a standard room but a good size and comfortable. It has a small deck. One night we... more

My husband and I stayed at Sunnyside in October 2006 for our honeymoon. We thought that October would be a good (i.e. less crowded) month to visit Lake Tahoe. We loved Sunnyside - we had a room with a fabulous view of the lake, and everything was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Our... more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. We went to Lake Tahoe primarily for the hiking and this is a terrific "base location" for that. The resort itself is wonderful. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms overlooking the marina and dining area. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have encountered and the... more

I was eagerly anticipating our 1 night stay at the Sunnyside Resort; however, I did end up being a bit disappointed. There are definite pros: It is a FANTASTIC location - right on the lake with stunning views. The food on the deck was good (we had a late lunch after checking in). The room was comfortable, although not nice... more

We spent two nights at Sunnyside Lodge this past week, taking advantage of the mid-week special ($250 total). Our room, #40, was a bit too near the road, but traffic noise eased off by bedtime. The room was quite large, with a huge stone fireplace, but also a bit dark. The king-sized bed felt wonderfully soft until we actually settled... more

Sunnyside is a wonderful upscale full service resort right on the shore of Lake Tahoe. It's just a couple miles south of Tahoe City, so not in the middle of busy tourist traffic. There are great walking and bike trails nearby. Rooms are very nicely appointed, spacious, clean, and have great balconies on second floor units for views of the... more

Great lodge/hotel right on Lake Tahoe! We spent two nights there and had dinner on the deck the first night - the food was great but the nicest thing about the lodge and the restaurant is the setting! Book dinner on the deck - the food is good and the views fab! Though Sunnyside is pricey (two nights usd 500),... more
