This place was gross. There were hairs on the fitted sheet and unidentified substances on the blanket (don't want to know). The non-smoking room had an ash tray and reeked of smoke and dog pee. I had a great experience during my stay! The front desk staff are extremely polite and friendly, the manager was helping someone else but took the time to greet me and welcomed me to Walnut Creek. I had stayed at this Motel 6 on a couple of occasions. It is your standard "6", not so clean or new or nice, just available. And you are literally spitting distance from the highway. Yes, those are 18 wheelers storming by your hotel room, so with this in mind, be sure to stock up on those heavy duty ear... more

I generally like Motel 6's, but I had a bad experience at this one. I had a non-smoking room that smelled of smoke... not too bad at first, but after a night, it really messes with your throat and such even though it seems relatively mild in strength (in the sheets, etc.).
