First of all, the view is fantastic! We liked the floor plan, grounds, and staff. The pool was nice. We had no need for air conditioning. The problem is with the maintenance of the unit. We stayed in building 1 unit 20. The carpet looked GROSS, FILTHY and had some holes. It had horrible stains every where. It definitely needs... more

I read reviews on Trip Advisor of bad experiences at Cascade Village, but was assured by the booking agent that those were only the disgruntled customers and good experiences weren't shared. I should not have listended to him!! I discovered upon checking out that I paid $25 more by going through Durango Central Reservations as the hotel also charged me... more

Simply a beautiful place with it's wonderful surroundings. It made us feel like we were in a Swiss Chalet. The room was nice, the staff friendly and it was very quiet. A real nice place for retreat from the the hustle and the bustle of daily life. more

Stayed March 10-14 at Cascade Village. Have stayed at this property many times before and really enjoyed it. Unit #38 or 138 (AKA) was nice. UPSIDE: Lovely cowboy/western theme with large rooms, comfortable beds to accomodate an eight person group. We had a 3 bedroom and 3 full bath unit that has a large kitchen, plenty of space and the... more

Thank you for staying at Cascade Village. I am glad that you enjoyed your overall stay. I will pass your comments on to the homeowners in our rental program to suggest that they consider always allowing guests to have access to washer/dryers in the larger condominium units. Most of our smaller 1 and 2 bedroom units are not equipped with...

Ask for a Condo with an "A" or "B" Rating. They will be in much better condition than a "C" rated unit. If you are not happy with the first unit you are placed in, ask the managment for another room. All of these condo's are individually owned. The location is perfect., the views breath taking!!!! Skiing is less than... more

Dear thekahuna1, Atlanta, Thank you for writing an insightful descripiton of the condominium ratings system at Cascade Village. There are 81 condominium units in our rental program. Many of the units have been renovated over the past year. Currently, 47% of our inventory carry an A rating - new or like new condition and 42% carry a B rating -...

Thank you for posting your comments on your stay at Cascade Village. Our property has gone through management changes in recent months and consistency in our daily operations has been lacking. Our staff are now learning to better communicate information to our guests regarding our services. Cascade Village is a condominium hotel. Housekeeping services are provided on a limited basis...

Chose this place to stay for our honeymoon. When we arrived I was disappointed with the exterior of the condos and the hallways outside the condo were not impressive. However, once we got to our condo found it to be a very nice unit. We had all the kitchen amenties we needed. Small washer and dryer to do laundry and... more

The only two things that Cascade has going for it is the friendly staff at the front desk and the surrounding area which is beautiful. The unit was awful. We stayed there for two days as an extension of a week long trip to Durango. The unit was rundown, not cared for, not cleaned (Looked like bedsheets had not been... more

Cascade Village had wonderful accomodations! Flexible shuttle service, fitness center and gameroom...no wonder the homeowners choose to live here! The food at the Cascade Grill was culinary excellence, and the ski shop had top quality skis, cheap prices and a knowledgeable staff. The rest of the staff were very accomodating and went out of their way to make our stay... more

My girlfriend and I stayed there for three nights July 3-5 2004 and the condo we stayed in was great. Very clean with nice accomadations. I have stayed in three to five star hotels and have traveled extensively in different parts of the world. I was pleasantly surprised at the rates and the accommodations. Don't know why anyone would give... more
