We went to Purgatory ski area and ended up staying in Cascade Village. We were told that there was more to do here for the kids than Tamarron and supposed to be more upscale and it was closer to the ski area also. (It was also more expensive) Our room was not ready when we arrived so we went skiing... more

A Beatiful setting for a resort. It's to bad the place is so run down (I thought I'd stumbled into a third world country). The difference is between West and East Berlin during the cold war (West Berlin being a Telluride or Aspen). I guess the maintenance crew are Rastafarians(we'll do it tomorrow). more

This resort is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in many years of travel. The resort is in absolute disrepair, is unclean, and unsafe. The stairwell next to our unit was covered with rodent feces (hantivirus is prevalent in this region and it is spread via this way). Several of the faucets in our unit did not function... more

My Family stayed at Cascade Village over this holiday season for 7 nights, our room was beautiful with a two person jacuzzi bath tub! The Cascade Grill had great service and was very family oriented. All of the staff at Cascade was very friendly and entire atmosphere was so cozy. My family is definitly going back. more

This was the worst lodging I've ever encountered. There was no AC and virtually no ventilation (took for granted when making reservations). Temperature was in the 90's, no fans provided, only one opening to the outside in the condo (screened door to the deck), the bedroom on the second floor (loft) had no windows/ventilation. There was a large party outside... more

The place was run down. The housekeeping was horrible, there was trash in the entryways during our entire visit. There were globs of "something" still in the microwave. Do not expect a view just beause you are 28 miles from town, some of the units look out at the other units. The restaurant, shops and bar all look as though... more

We drove up from Houston in 2 easy days. The drive was good all the way. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed every day. The condo was great with a fireplace that looked good and keep us warm. The pool and hot tubs were great. Sat in the outside tubs and enjoyer the view. Also the skiing was great too.... more

I stayed at Cascade Village with my family, wife & 2 teenage kids. We are from Dallas, Texas.. Flew to Durango direct on American Airlines (using miles accumulated from work travel). The location and size of the resort was great, about a two minute shuttle ride from the ski area. The Resort was great with facilities for the kids including... more
