An amazing honeymoonOlder style hotel about as clean as you would expect during winter skiing season. We were happy to sleep there since there were few rooms available, but I would opt for a newer facility if I had the time to plan. more
This is a jewel in Durango. I travel to Durango often and this is definitely one of the more friendly and welcoming places in Durango. The housekeeping staff is excellent. Would definitely recommend if someone is looking for a good value, clean and excellent service. more
Stayed in one of their suites. Very roomy, nice, and clean. Polite, professional front desk staff. Great continental breakfast. Good location to area attractions. Highly recommend this hotel. more
My wife, daughter and myself stayed at the Best Western Durango Inn & Suites on August 16th 2007. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is convienent to downtown but is still very quiet . We especially enjoyed the big grassy courtyard and the pool. The pool is a nice outdoor pool with lots of area to enjoy the sun... more
I recently stayed at this hotel based on the reviews offered here. I wonder is this the same hotel. Staying in the hotel room is like visiting your smelly old aunt - everything is very old and frankly dirty. Although the staff tried to clean the room - it is hard to clean carpets that look 30 years old. Even... more
Very Clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to switch rooms due to a late booking on my part and the staff moved our bags and Rx in the refrigerator while we were on the train. Pleasant experience. Will stay again. more
Stayed two nights, using Durango as a base for area travels and this was one of the more reasonably priced motels. Nicely situated, away from downtown, but needs updating badly. The bathroom area is much too small. The so-called free breakfast wasn't worth staying for. One of the poorer Best Westerns we've stayed in. more
My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Durango Inn shortly after Scott and Amy purchased the property. Scott managed the Best Western in Frisco, Colorado and Amy was director of sales at a couple large Hotels in Denver. They both bring great experience to the Durango Inn and it shows. They're operating a terrific Inn in a terrific... more
We made the mistake (once again) of pulling into the FIRST “Best Western” property we found upon entering the town of Durango, Colorado. It was the Best Western Durango Inn. Sometimes, I really get upset with myself for accepting the “Best Western” sign as an assurance of a quality, comfortable, enjoyable accommodation! The nature of the clientele (prospective guests) that... more
I've never given Best Westerns much consideration -- my only other BW stay was not good -- but we needed a place to stay just passing through Durango, and this motel looked better than average on the outside, so we took a chance. It also offered AAA and AARP discounts. The hotel staff was very nice, friendly and helpful, and... more
