Needed a hotel to stay for a friends surprise birthday party in Downtown Wilmington- This suited our needs perfectly! Was only 5 miles from the party location and check in and check out was a breeze. In town on business; original rate quoted was $196. Prefer to stay at Marriott properties because I'm a Marriott Rewards Gold member. However, for the $196 price, this hotel is extremely average. Really nice hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was great, and the location was good. The city itself was dead on the weekend and there was nothing to do(other than the event we were in town for). But the hotel was nice and central to restaurants and downtown. more

I stayed here on a Saturday night in January while visiting a friend in nearby downtown Wilmington. It's hard to me to judge the suitability of this property for weekday business travelers at a weekday price, but for my purposes it was perfect - inexpensive for a clean and convenient center-city hotel. This property is simply not up to Marriott's usual standards. I checked in around 9:00 without problems. Indeed, all of the staff at this property were very friendly and helpful. When I went and parked my car (which at a slightly discounted rate, but still is $9.50), the front desk woman took my bags up to my room--that was unexpected... more

Stayed at Courtyard Wilmington for 2 nights. Have never before received this kind of outstanding service at a Courtyard. Everyone was friendly, helpful and gracious. You hardly get this customer service anymore , so when you do it really stands out! Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. A pretty good standard all round, though the breakfast service (friendliness and attentiveness) was a bit variable. Bar staff and check-in staff could not have been more helpful. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the free high-speed internet access is a real bonus. more
